Ancient Purity Chaga Mushroom (Whole Pieces) - The Mushroom of Immortality | Siberian Origin
Chaga has been used for thousands of years across Siberia, China, Japan and Northern Europe. Siberian cultures referred to it as “A Gift from God” and “The Mushroom of Immortality,” while the Japanese named it “The Diamond of the Forest,” recognising its rarity and strength. Its presence in Russian folk medicine dates back to at least the 16th century, where it was used to support endurance and vitality in harsh climates.
In Chinese tradition, Chaga was documented as early as 100 B.C. in The Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing, where it was classified as a superior herb, a designation reserved for substances believed to support longevity, balance and long term health rather than short term stimulation.
Ancient Purity Chaga is left whole, untouched and unprocessed, allowing you to prepare it as it has been for centuries. A long, gentle simmer draws out its deep, earthy compounds, producing a rich tea that reflects the true intelligence of the forest. This is Chaga in its original state, not reduced, rushed or refined. Just ancient potency, preserved.
Q: Some people are selling Chaga powder is it better?
A: We prefer to take it straight from the tree and let you use it as see fit. You could grind/mill it then use, its debatable how this effects Chaga, just as for example went using a centrifugal juicer on vegetables, the cutting can effect the enzymes. We have no proof of the but at Ancient Purity we like our Chaga in chunks, so that how we provide it.
Q: How many times can I re-boil a chunk of Chaga?.
A: Personally, I will 3 or 4 times, but I tend to then just add new pieces to the pot rather than throw an old bit away.
Q: I have a major health issue, how should i use Chaga?
A: We recommend David Wolfe's book "Chaga" King of the Medicinal Mushrooms.
Q: What is Chaga tea good for?
A: Chaga's antioxidant properties may help combat oxidation and lower blood pressure. In addition to regulating the immune system, the types of beta-D-glucans found in Chaga have also been shown to help lower blood sugar levels.
Q: What does Chaga do to my brain?
A: Chaga has been shown to be protective against Alzheimer's disease and neurodegeneration and inflammation by acting as an antioxidant and upregulating the Nrf2 pathway–one of the key anti-inflammatory pathways in your body.
