Fulvic Acid – The Miracle Molecule

Fulvic Acid is a yellow to dark brown coloured substance that is derived from humus, which is the organic component of soil, sediment, and other natural sources such as peat and coal. It is a natural compound that is known for its ability to improve nutrient uptake in plants and help them grow and develop optimally. Fulvic Acid is also used in dietary supplements and other health products due to its purported health benefits, which include enhanced energy levels, improved immune function, and reduced inflammation among others. It is a highly complex and versatile compound that contains a variety of organic acids, minerals, and other nutrients that are essential for healthy soil and plant growth. Fulvic Acid is present sand, clay, mud and mountain rocks. It can have different qualities depending on where it is sourced from. Fulvic Acid from Israeli sand may have different qualities than Canadian peat moss or mountain rock in the state of Colorado, for example.

You’ll most likely understand that if there isn’t enough Fulvic Acid in our soils the products cultivated on it will lack nutritional goodness. Depleted soils are soils that have lost significant amounts of nutrients and organic matter due to overuse, erosion, and poor management practices. These soils become less fertile and less productive, affecting both the quality and quantity of agricultural crops that can be grown. Depleted soils can lead to soil degradation, which can have negative environmental impacts such as increased soil erosion, decreased biodiversity, and reduced capacity to absorb and store carbon.

Fulvic Acid Supplements Can Help Those not Getting Enough Minerals

It's alarming to learn that you would need to consume 26 apples today to obtain the same amount of iron from just one apple eaten in 1950! This is all due to the depletion of agricultural soil minerals. This problem makes it extremely challenging to obtain nutrient-dense food, which is scarce in most grocery stores and produce markets. Even if you opt for organic produce free from artificial fertilisers, GMOs, and pesticides, it's still grown in nutrient-depleted soil. A study conducted by the United Nations' Rio Earth Summit revealed that the mineral levels in agricultural soils have dropped by 85% in North America over the past century. Many experts now believe that it's impossible to obtain adequate nutrients solely from food. Consequently, healthcare professionals are turning to Fulvic Acid Supplements to supplement the minerals missing from our diets. The depletion of soil minerals in the past century has led to a surge in diseases like cancer, diabetes, asthma, etc. Even a slight deficiency in a single mineral can cause symptoms to manifest in our bodies. Below I’ve mentioned just a few of the numerous issues of specific mineral deficiencies:

  • Zinc Deficiency: Weakened Immunity, Dermatitis, Eczema or Skin Issues.
  • Magnesium Deficiency: Insomnia, Constipation, Headaches, Anxiety and Depression.
  • Copper Deficiency: Irregular Heartbeat and Heart Issues.
  • Selenium Deficiency: Infertility, Abnormal Heart Function including “Sudden Death Syndrome”.
  • Iron Deficiency: Fatigue, Anaemia and lethargy.
  • Chromium Deficiency: Fatigue, Anxiety, Metabolic Syndrome and Type 2 Diabetes.

In simple language, when our bodies don’t get the necessary minerals to function properly, they start breaking down. In fact, Nobel Prize winner Dr. Linus Pauling has reported that every disease can be linked to a mineral deficiency. There are many mineral supplements available, but not all of them can fully address your mineral deficiencies. Over-the-counter supplements typically contain less than 40 minerals and lack important trace elements. Inorganic minerals found in most supplements are often sourced from non-living substances such as rocks and minerals, making them less easily absorbed by the body. On the other hand, plant-based minerals like those found in Fulvic Acid Supplements are naturally ionic and organic.

Fulvic Acid is a powerful substance that contains over 70 plant-based minerals, derived from ancient organic plants. It cannot be chemically replicated and is readily absorbed by the body. Fulvic Acid makes cell membranes more permeable, allowing for a higher volume of necessary minerals to be delivered to cells. Additionally, it helps support the body's detoxification process by binding together with water. By addressing mineral deficiencies at the cellular level, Fulvic Acid Supplements can help prevent illness, disease, and weakened immune systems.

Fulvic Acid – How to Use?

Here are some general guidelines on how to use Fulvic Acid:

  • Consult with a healthcare professional or specialist before using Fulvic Acid supplements.
  • Fulvic Acid can be found in supplement form (e.g. capsules, liquid or tablets) or as an ingredient in skincare and hair care products.
  • Follow the recommended dosage or application instructions on the product label.
  • It is best to take Fulvic Acid with meals to aid in digestion and absorption.
  • When using Fulvic Acid topically, apply to clean, dry skin or hair as directed.
  • Remember that Fulvic Acid supplements and products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and are not a substitute for a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Research Has Proven that Fulvic Acid is an Effective Antiviral

Clinical Education, a non-profit scientific organisation associated with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), conducted an extensive study on humic acid's antiviral properties. The study compiled and analysed hundreds of medical research studies, and concluded that Humic Acid might prove useful against most, if not all, infections caused by viruses. The claim finds support in over thirty years of scientific evidence. This article explores various studies that highlight the antiviral effects of humates on different viruses. It presents the findings in easy-to-understand language, to help individuals and their healthcare providers assess whether to include Humic/Fulvic Acid in their daily health regimen.

The first study we discuss is from the 1970s when the Institute for Antiviral Chemotherapy in Germany investigated the effects of humates on the influenza A virus and herpes simplex virus type 1. The findings revealed Humic substances' efficacy against both naked and enveloped DNA viruses. Other studies have also demonstrated the effectiveness of Humic/Fulvic acid against the Herpes Simplex virus. In 1992, Durre and Schindler's study found that applying Humic acid significantly reduced or even entirely suppressed herpes in mice.

In 1996, Schneider et al.'s study on humates and HIV reported the robust inhibition of HIV-1 by Humic Acid. Most notably, in 2002, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) concluded in a report centred on Humic Acid's antiviral properties that it could help prevent influenza, herpes, chickenpox, mononucleosis, Ebola virus, and Hanta virus. The NIH study suggested that Fulvic Acid was highly effective in preventing viral infections if taken before the viruses invaded the body.

Scientists do know that all viruses operate in basically the same way: by invading a body’s living cells and rapidly quickly hijacking the cells’ machinery to reproduce itself at exponential rates. As these millions of virus cells reproduce themselves, they take over the body causing disease and death.

Because viruses are not considered "alive" like bacteria, they cannot be "killed" in the same way. Instead, their reproduction must be halted to combat them. While antibiotics can eliminate bacteria, they are ineffective against viruses such as the flu, HIV, and herpes. In contrast, antiviral substances can impede virus reproduction by acting on cells in a way that prevents their replication. Humic and Fulvic Acid, for instance, are molecularly appealing to many viruses. These viruses bind to the microscopic humate molecules instead of the body's cells, thereby impeding their ability to infiltrate the body and generate additional copies of itself.

Simply put, if the virus is already occupying the Fulvic substance, it cannot infect the body's cells simultaneously. Scientific studies conducted from the 1970s to the 1990s have established this concept, concluding that Fulvic Acid hinders the early stages of virus replication, specifically virus attachment to cells.

Including Fulvic Acid, organic plant-based minerals, and healing clay in your daily routine might be a very wise decision. Due to deteriorating soil quality, agricultural practices, and nutrient-depleted food, our diet alone cannot provide us with enough essentials. It is likely to take years of significant shift in agriculture to regenerate soil and produce nutrient-dense produce. Therefore, daily supplementation is the only viable option to ensure that we maintain adequate levels of Fulvic Acid and useful minerals in our bodies. This ‘Miracle Molecule’ will not just improve your health, but also your families'.
